No youth of the country will remain jobless and unemployed: Palak

Natore, the constituency of State Minister for Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak witnessed three unique initiatives in a single day. On Saturday in the morning, the country's first GI product-based Smart Village Expo was held at Kot Math premises of Singra Upazila of the district. At the same time, a 3-month freelancing training program was started under the supervision of SwissContact and under the “Building Youth Employability Through Skills (BYETS)” project managed by E-Learning and Earning Limited. Also, the state minister inaugurated this program in his own district by opening a pension scheme after his own name.  

Deputy Commissioner Abu Naser Bhuiyan presided over the inauguration ceremony at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hamim Tabassum Prova, Natore Superintendent of Police Tariqul Islam, Chairman of E-Learning and Earning Limited Mejbah Uddin, Singra Municipal Mayor Jannatul Ferdous, e-CAB Founder General Secretary Mohammad Abdul Waheed Tamal, present General Secretary Nasima Akhter Nisha and others were present at the function.

While speaking as the chief guest, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that although it is not possible to give jobs to everyone, but it is possible to provide employment for everyone. Inshallah, no youth of Bangladesh will remain unemployed. There will be no unemployment.

That is why the state minister laid emphasis on making them competent and qualified. He highlighted various initiatives and programs taken by the government in this regard. He said that an inclusive smart society is being developed under the visionary leadership and guidance of the Prime Minister. By using the talent of the youth and the power of technology, we will reach the goal of Smart Bangladesh before 2041.

Palak also said that initiatives have been taken to make the loss-making post offices profitable. Out of 9,974 post offices, 8,500 post offices are being converted into e-post centers. By constructing and modernizing modern buildings, every post office is becoming a smart service point. Not only letter transactions but also banking, logistics, e-commerce, grocery-shop, dispensary activities will be conducted at the post office. Young entrepreneurs can take advantage of post office modernization to expand their products.
